![]() ![]() Tiny Toon Adventures 2: Trouble in Wackyland For the < $2 asking price, well worth the time invested and I'm about to pick up the remaining two from this series.īold is a game from GOG, Italic is a game I acquired this year, *Asterisks denote games I've beaten in the past, -Minuses are games not actually in my collection. The other 75% is standard point & click adventure where you find objects, figure out where to use them and solve puzzles along the way. I didn't hate it? Probably helps that this title is only HOG 25% of the time. Nightmares from the Deep - Okay, I played my first hidden object game and. There are 10 classes in all (+ 2 additional via DLC)ġ6. What's fun is that because each class plays very differently (literally different cards are available), I feel there's tons of replay value in mastering each one. removing a bad card at times is an interesting one. The "deck" you have determines your actions during combat, so the choice between adding a new card vs. Then go around 3 randomized maps to try to complete the game. Pick a class, which has its own bonuses and decides the kinds of decks you can have. It's a deck-based rogue-like, and it works really well. Monster Slayers - From what I'm told, this game may have influenced Slay the Spire, which has been getting rave reviews, so I decided to try this one out. Still, a lot of these multi-ending games come alive once you get all the endings so we'll see.ġ5. But the ending depends on your choices, so not sure if it's my fault or the game's but felt like the ending was very abrupt. Leviathan: The Last Day of the Decade - Very interesting point-n-click adventure with visual novel aspects. I don't think it's as brilliant as everyone else makes it out to be. Mark of the Ninja - An okay'ish action/stealth game. I just discovered they made a sequel (prequel?) so I guess I'll revisit this world soon-ish.ġ3. But it definitely feels bigger budget and comes off better than the Runaway games. Yesterday - Darker than the other Pendulo adventures, and the UI could use some work. But visually and through it's narrative, it's sci-fi.ġ2. It's kinda like a visual novel, in that the gameplay is mostly choosing dialog responses and dialog partners. That's probably all you need to know about it. I can't wait to see what these guys do next.ġ1. Of course, the best thing is the gorgeous horror-inspired art. Pretty approachable puzzles, with some automatic hint notetaking and glowing objects so you don't have to pixel hunt. Tormentum - Dark Sorrow - Nifty point and click. Lots more questions and twists than Cayne in the conclusion.ġ0. Stasis - Cayne is definitely more detailed, but you can see where everything stems from. So why not with this freebie? Pretty cool little game, and I really like the UI compared to most point and clicks. Cayne - After BD, I wanted to continue the horror. But it does have multiple endings and a director commentary.Ĩ. There's only a limited amount of interactivity, so I hesitate to call it more than a walking simulator. Bucket Detective - Yeah, it's mostly WTF. I hear Dragonfall is better so I'm looking forward to that.ħ. Overall feels kinda derivative, and ends right when you think things are going to start cooking. Shadowrun Returns - RPG with okayish combat and a decent story. Some of the actions you need to do are cryptic, but most of it is typical P&C.Ħ. It's nice that it comes with a complete walkthrough, though. I meant the latter as a compliment, but somehow I never really connected with it. Noctropolis - Point and click adventure with cheesy FMV. Although it has grotesque imagery and whatnot, I never really connected to this game either time.ĥ. The The Cat Lady tie in is new, as most have noted. Downfall Redux - Played the original a long time ago, and bits and pieces of this remake feel familiar. In making this more "game-y", it's a lot less fun.Ĥ. Shadowhand -It's very similar to Regency Solitaire, but by the introduction of duels, the RNG nature is made way worse as you can dominate or be dominated based on the randomness. Regency Solitaire - Nonsense story, but an interesting take on Solitaire, with some pretty cool gameplay additions.ģ. I still don't understand why it's named what it is, but it's enjoyable.Ģ. The Sexy Brutale - Quirky and interesting game where you experience groundhogs day, and learn about what's going on from previous attempts. Skylar & Plux: Adventure on Clover Islandġ. Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Editionħ9. Block Survival: Legend of the Lost Islandsĥ5. Pajama Sam: No Need to Hide When It's Dark OutsideĤ1. Might and Magic VII: For Blood and HonorĢ0. But 10 of them were in December, so there's hope!ġ1. Only finished 28 games last year due to too much anime (and too much time on roguelites). ![]()
